Emory Knee Radiograph (MRKR) Dataset
MRKR is a large and demographically diverse collection of knee radiographs created for research on knee osteoarthritis, pain, treatment and related clinical outcomes. Images are linked with clinical and imaging metadata.
The AWS Open Data Registry identifies the dataset license as CC BY-SA, but the image bucket is controlled-access and requires approval through the dataset access portal. Because the exact version and additional data-use agreement applicable after approval may impose further conditions, commercial use should be confirmed before reuse.
The official AWS registry reports 503,261 knee radiographs from 83,011 patients. Images are provided in DICOM format with CSV tables containing variables such as laterality, projection, hardware presence, patient-reported pain scores, diagnosis codes and procedure codes. The resource is hosted in an AWS S3 bucket but is controlled-access rather than anonymously downloadable. Redistribution is recorded as restricted because access is gated behind an application and a data-use agreement, even though the AWS registry names CC BY-SA; that is the rule this index applies to every application-gated record.
This record is a pointer. Licence and access terms are recorded as they stood on the verification date above; what binds you is the dataset's own licence text. Confirm at the source before use.
